Last Week of Testing!

Good Evening Pugh Tribe!

The end of testing is near. The students have been working very hard on each and every test. Tomorrow is our last IOWA testing day. Since our homework is grade wide, we will not be having math homework this week. However, students are required to read 30 minutes everyday and log it on their Reading Log.  

 For extra math and reading practice, I recommend having your student use Xtra Math and Read Theory. Please make sure you read and sign your students agenda each and everyday. Thank you again for all that you do with your students at home.

Good Morning Pugh Tribe! Happy Warm-Hearted Wednesday ! We have had a very busy week so I apologize for just now posting. Here is a look at the rest of the week. Math: We have been continuing our unit on area. We will be practicing through tomorrow and assessing on Friday to show our understanding of area and how we use dimensions to solve for area. Week of February 25th

Good Morning Pugh Tribe! I hope you all had a restful Winter Break. We had a great first day back yesterday! Here is a look into what is happening in the Pugh Tribe this week. Math: We were introduced to line plots yesterday and will continue line plots through most of the week. Week of January 14th

Happy Monday Pugh Tribe! Its been a few weeks since my last blog post. I hope you all had a very restful weekend. We are beginning a lot of exciting new units in 3rd grade this week. Here is a look into what we will be learning over the next few weeks. Math: We began fractions last week by taking a look at key vocabulary such as numerator and denominator. From there, we moved into what a unit fraction is and how to partition shapes to represent unit fractions. This week, we will be building off of unit fractions and looking at partitioning number lines to represent fractions.
