Week of December 11th
Good Afternoon Pugh Tribe!
Hope you all enjoyed the Snow Day yesterday. We have jumped in where we left off on Friday. The students have been drafting their informational writing pieces on a specific explorer. Some of the students who wanted to make sure they had plenty of time to get thoughts to paper have brought them home to continue writing. They will bring it back tomorrow to meet with a partner for editing.
Since this is a short week and we are administering the Science Benchmark and a few Math and Reading Touchstones. We will not have Math homework this week. I still want the students to read each day and record their reading in their agenda.
You will see in their agenda their growth from the first RI and MI to the one we took this past week. I am very impressed overall with the growth our class has shown. As a reminder, please be checking your students agenda for notes from me or important documents to be signed.
If you have not signed your students homework packet, please review the students work and sign that you received it. I would like to have all homework packets back by tomorrow if at all possible.
Another piece of documentation that was sent home today was the Holiday Party information. We will be having our holiday party next Monday afternoon. I have sent a suggested list of food items and cutlery that we would enjoy at the party. If you could fill out the bottom half of the letter and send back to school with your student as soon as possible. That will give me an idea of what will be brought to the party for the class. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to email me at katherine.pugh@cobbk12.org.
Best Wishes,
Ms. Pugh
