Week of October 15th
Good Afternoon Pugh Tribe!
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Monday. Here is an outline of the week for the Pugh Tribe.
Math: We will continue to review the arrays strategy for solving multiplication problems. I showed the students a learn zillion video to review this strategy. Here is the link:

Reading: We are starting a new unit on nonfiction text and using text features to help build our understanding of the text. This will lead into the opportunity to read both fiction chapter books and nonfiction texts during our independent reading time in class.
Parent/Teacher Conferences: I am looking forward to meeting with all of you to discuss your student's performance in class and how they will continue to excel this year in 3rd grade. Don't forget every day this week is EARLY RELEASE due to conferences.
Recess: To ensure that all students are able to run around at recess and enjoy talking and playing with their peers. We will not have any stuffed animals or action figures brought into the classroom. This has become an extra thing to have in our backpacks which we want the space to bring homework and other important documents to and from school. Thank you for your understanding and support with this change.
I believe that is all for this week in the Pugh Tribe. Do not forget to do your homework and log your reading. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful week,
~Ms. Pugh
