Week of February 11th

Happy Monday Pugh Tribe!

We are almost to Winter Break! That being said, we have a lot to accomplish in these 5 days. We won perfect attendance last week with only one absence! Let's aim to be present everyday this week. Here is a look into what we will be learning about this week...

Math: We began telling time to the nearest 5 minutes on Friday. Based on my data and observations, this class is rocking and rolling with telling time. We will continue this trend into telling time to the nearest minute on analog clocks. On Thursday, we will begin measurement on rulers to the nearest inch.

Reading: We are continuing comparing and contrasting two texts this week as well as introducing point of view. We will be focusing on distinguishing our point of view from that of the authors.

Progress Reports: Progress reports will be going home tomorrow along with all of the weekly work packets from Quarter 2. Please sign and return one copy of the progress report. The other copy is yours to keep at home. The Weekly Work Packets that are going home tomorrow can be kept at home.

Homework: I check homework folders every Friday and I have seen some inconsistency in completing our homework. I will be checking homework folders everyday for the next few weeks until I see that our students are completing the assigned work each night. We do have several students that have done a great job of completing their homework each night. I want to encourage our entire class to show that consistency!

With that, I want to wish you all a Magical Monday!

-Ms. Pugh
