Week of April 8th

Welcome Back Pugh Tribe!

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. Here is a look into what is going on for the Pugh Tribe this week.

Math: We continued review on partitioning shapes and took it a step further today with comparing equal areas of shapes. We will review this standard as well as the standard on categorizing shapes based on sides and angles. The class will take a post assessment to show their understanding of the standards later this week.

Reading: Today, we reviewed text features and will move into the different useful features found in informational texts.

Homework: We have a new monthly calendar for the month of April. If  the students complete the weeks worth of the calendar, they will earn Class Dojo points. Reading homework is not optional, that will be reviewed each day based on key standards that will be assessed on the Georgia Milestones next week.

End of Grade Testing: 3rd grade will start testing next Tuesday, April 16th. We will be completing three sections of Reading, Writing, and Grammar over the course of the 16th, 17th, and 18th. Please make sure students have a good breakfast and get lots of sleep. We cannot have anyone come in late. Please be on time to school each day. Parents, if you have appointments made for the morning of any of these 3 days, please consider rescheduling for after lunchtime or move to a non-testing day. We will continue to review all of the standards using different stations and centers in our Math and Reading Groups.

I believe that is all that I have for this week.

Have a Wonderful Week,

Ms. Pugh
