Week of February 13th
Good Morning Pugh Tribe!
We are off to a great start this week. We have started our focus on determining fractions as a whole number. Here is a link to a video with a few more guided practice problems. https://learnzillion.com/lesson_plans/8304-express-whole-numbers-as-fractions/
We are starting something new with our homework. The students have received a few problems for each day. We will be going over these every morning to clear up any misconceptions. Please make sure your student puts their homework back in their Take Home Folder to bring back to school. Speaking of homework, 3rd grade as a whole will be completing reading homework each day for the next few weeks to prepare for the Milestone. They will be responsible for reading the passage and answering the questions each day. All homework will be DUE on FRIDAY.
I sent out a quick email this morning due to a lot of questions this morning about tomorrow. After out staff meeting, Ms. Nelson notified the staff that we will not be hosting any parties for Valentine's Day. We will provide a bag for the students to decorate and then put their valentines in from the class. Due to the lack of space in the classroom, I don't advise your student to bring in a box for their valentines. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! I posted a class list on Class Dojo and your student will be bringing one home today in their take home folder.
I would like to highlight Skyler this week for her amazing poster that she entered in our school wide Arbor Day poster contest!!! She got 1st place for all of 3rd grade!!! Way to go!!!
Have a great week!
