Week of August 13th

Hello Pugh Tribe!

I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the week. I wanted to inform you of our new Homework Folder. Each day students will be bringing home a red folder that has a monthly homework calendar inside. Each day, your student will be responsible for completing the homework in the box that matches the date. There is notebook paper in the folder for students to solve the problems on. In addition to the daily problem(s), your student will be responsible for reading 15-20 minutes a night and log their reading on the bottom of their agenda. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.

After repeated disruptions and discussions on Pokemon cards. We will be keeping our Pokemon cards at home. These do not need to be brought to school. These are items that can be enjoyed at home but do not need to interrupt instruction at school.

This week in Math we will be discussing addition and moving into the associative property. Here is a link to the Learn Zillion website to show some examples that we will be reviewing here at school. https://learnzillion.com/lesson_plans/7327-explain-addition-using-the-commutative-and-associative-properties/

We are off to a great start!

Have a Marvelous Monday!

-Ms. Pugh
