Week of November 26th

Good Evening Pugh Tribe!

I hope you all had a wonderful Turkey Day! I am so glad to be back with the Pugh Tribe today. Here is a look into what we will be learning this week...

Math: The Pugh Tribe did a great job with area before the break. We will be moving into 1-step and 2-step word problems for the next few weeks. These word problems will consist of using all four operations (multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction)

Reading: We will be reviewing text features and search tools to help build strategies for understanding the facts and information in an informational text. Don't forget to read 15 minutes each night and log it in the agendas!

Homework: It is a Monday and I do apologize for not attaching the reading passage for tonight's homework. That being said, I will allow students to complete the small reading passage tomorrow morning as morning work before the announcements.

We will not be doing spelling tests for the next few weeks. The students are doing a great job with high frequency words in their writing pieces. However, I have noticed a need for additional handwriting practice. Students will be pulled for this practice in the morning to support more legible handwriting for class based on my notes that I have made during class.

That is all I have for this week. Have a great week!

-Ms. Pugh
