Each day students will be bringing home a red folder that has a monthly homework calendar inside. Each day, your student will be responsible for completing the homework in the box that matches the date. There is notebook paper in the folder for students to solve the problems on. In addition to the daily problem(s), your student will be responsible for reading 15-20 minutes a night and log their reading on the bottom of their agenda. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. After repeated disruptions and discussions on Pokemon cards. We will be keeping our Pokemon cards at home. These do not need to be brought to school. These are items that can be enjoyed at home but do not need to interrupt instruction at school. Hello Pugh Tribe! I am excited to get the blog up and running again. We are off to a great start in the Pugh Tribe this Monday! We have been doing some Writing and Reading today and I am excited to get the ball rolling on Math tomorrow. We will begin diving into our curriculum on Wednesday. After talking with the 3rd grade teachers, we have decided to create an interactive reading notebook this year. That being said, we will need an additional COMPOSITION book. If you could send this additional composition book with your student no later than Friday, I would greatly appreciate it. Starting next week, I will be sharing videos with examples of the strategies we will be learning in Math as well as a homework sheet that will have a few problems for every day of the week. These homework sheets will be due Friday. However, we will go over the problems assigned for the night before to clarify any misconceptions. Last note I have for this weeks blog is about a community event happenin...

Week of April 16th

Hello Pugh Tribe!!! Hope you all had a restful and relaxing weekend. We are off to a great start this Monday morning with one of our last sections of the Milestones. I would like to remind all students to get plenty of rest tonight and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning to prepare for the final day of Milestones testing tomorrow! There were several sleepy students this morning. We will not have homework again this week due to Milestones testing. However, every student should have brought home their Math Coach Book to get additional practice in over the weekend and through tonight. I would encourage you to not only have your student solve the problems but also explain their answers and how they solved the problems. We will be diving into our multiplication facts challenge starting tomorrow. This is one of the major standards that your student will be working hard to achieve this quarter. There is a letter with a chart of all of the multiples that they will be assessed on in th...
